Custom Threaded Rods

“I’m happy to finally offer a limited run of my homemade threaded spring rods. I’ve been making and using these “sticks” for years both live and in the studio. You can hear them on tracks like my “Monkey Chant” and my solo record Next – as well as on Wilco tracks like “Reservations” and “I’m Trying To Break Your Heart” among many others. They are integral for my solo work “Fishing A.M.” as well. They elicit strange and unique sounds from cymbals, drumheads, rims – or any surface really – by either using the spring tips or the threaded rod for scraping, taping, sliding or raking. I was able to source enough materials for a limited number of these and decided to offer them since there’s really nothing else out there like them – enjoy!”
